The Winchester (owned by Matt & Chris Rathbun) is locally famous for their delicious homemade pizzas,
(including the 'drive up' "Take & Bake" pizza option to take home). The Winchester provides generous portions and a MENU with a wide variety of appetizers, sandwiches, steaks, seafood and nightly specials.
Chef Matt Rathbun has had a passion for serving delicious food most his life. Matt was most inspired by his Grandmothers Betty White and the late Hilma Rathbun in addition to his near and extended family as 'Fine Cooking' is a tradition! With encouragement from so many, Matt, and his wife Chris, took Matt's 'passion' to a 'profession' with launching 'The WINCHESTER,' allowing their combined skills to serve so many more people with fine dining and the charm of Matt's wife, Chris :-)
The Winchester was built next to the Waterville Store Bar & Grill building that was originally Bernhart Johnson's Oil Station in 1932. In October of 2015 the Store & Grill was destroyed by fire and entrepreneurs, Matt and Chris Rathbun expanded and built the amazing Waterville Winchester.
